About the Editor
Dara Ekanger began writing and copyediting for a local magazine during college. After graduating summa cum laude with degrees in Spanish and International Studies, she spent a year in Latin America interning with the Latin American Studies Program. She was in charge of the program newsletter, and completely responsible for compiling a comprehensive student handbook.
After returning to the United States she spent two years as an editorial assistant for a teen magazine. From there she went to Augustana College as Student Services Coordinator.
In 2003 she began working for a law firm, managing and editing two monthly publications. Eventually she added additional clients including a book publisher, various newspapers, magazines and an advertising agency, while maintaining a schedule of writing freelance articles.
She continues to take on individual editing projects, enjoying the diversity of topics that present themselves and the many quality people she has worked with across the country.
